What do you wish existed for people with cancer that doesn't?

Besides a cure, is there anything you wish existed for people with cancer and their families? What would have been helpful to you if it existed?

I wish there were caregivers who focused on only one person. For some people going through cancer, they have nobody close to them who can be their caregiver and really be close with them. Fighting cancer alone makes it so much harder, but having someone with you can make it all the much easier.

I wish there was a step-by-step guide on how to talk to your employer, cause that conversation is so tough. I feel like all the resources I hear just say 'don't say anything' if you're going to keep working, but what about those of us who want to share our story AND get support?

my hospital doesn't have a great place to meet other guys my age so I've struggled with meeting people who I feel like understand what I'm going through. We have an informal network but I think that during COVID it hasn't been quite as much real support as I needed. Think more structure would have been good for me.
0 RepliesI'm having a really hard time meeting anyone my age trough my hospital's support group. I don't know if it's just because my hospital doesn't have any people like me who are under 40 or if I'm the only one dealing with this right now.

Patient navigators for everyone. It's so hard to know what you even need to ask, and trying to readjust to life after treatment is almost impossible.
