I got an infection in my port and it was horribly painful and set me back on treatment. I would just say make sure that you make sure you are cleaning it properly and ugh the dreaded port flush!

I didn't get a port the first time I went through chemo and it was painful on my body (and mind!!) having to endure all of those sticks. I have never had good veins anyway.

100% port, it would be cruel and unusual for them to try to stick you every time. Also, your veins are prone to collapsing during chemo so using them to much can permanently damage them. I didn't use a port the first time I had chemo but I have the second time and it has made a world of difference

I could never have them find a vein, you will NOT be disappointed you went with the port!
