I know it's more common for men to be bald, but it's never something I planned for myself until treatment. Any men have advice for what they did when they lost their hair?

With society being as advanced as it is today, there are a lot of options! You could go to a tattoo artist and make and they can fill in your head with "hair" or you can look for a hair transplant just to name a couple ideas.

My father dealt with hair loss and he also felt the same way. His solution was alternating between a hat, rocking the bald look, and wearing a short wig occasionally if he missed his hair.
We used ball caps and the like, there aren't may good options for boys like there are for girls

I've been trying to find some options for my nephew who's going through chemo as a young adult. Any suggestions on this?

Thanks everyone for sharing, I feel a lot less bad about this now learning other people struggle mentally with it too!
my dad went through prostate cancer a few years ago and it was really hard for him too. Rest assured though, it did come back and it was actually thicker than before believe it or not. Hang in there, and in the meantime invest in some nice ball caps, beanies, or other hats you wouldn't ordinarily wear...

Yes, this totally hits home for me. I have always cared about my appearance, and I know a lot of guys are bald, but chemo was actually quite a shock to me. Put up a good front for my friends and family but it was really hard for me to accept myself as a bald cancer patient

I'm really going through this, would love to talk to others about it so please reach out

Yeah definitely, hair loss is hard for guys too. I got my dad a selection of new ball caps, etc. It kept his head from getting cold and also didnt make him feel so conspicuous when we were out in public.
