I am dying to drink alcohol. I’m a social drinker and I miss it. I especially like to drink when I go rollerskating for some weird reason. I’m halfway through chemo. When did you you all have a drink post-treatment? Going to ask my onco Monday.

While in active treatment, my oncologist "prescribed" Margaritas... as long as I promised to stop drinking at least 48 hours before each infusion. Not that the alcohol would interact, but he didn't want my liver to be "distracted" from processing the chemo. They were willing to prescribe all kinds of palliative drugs such as Valium, but for many a glass of wine in the evening was all that was needed
Man I wish but alcohol doesn’t mix well with my after treatment meds lupron, Anastrozole, and Verzenio so I’ve given it up 😢
I drank alcohol during chemo. I did TCHP every three weeks and would usually drink that third week. I didn’t feel great/alcohol usually didn’t sound good those first two weeks but would absolutely drink wine that third week. You deserve it!

My oncologist told me a glass of wine was ok for special occasions , but truthfully I didn’t crave drinking , like I did before . After chemo once I was done with radiation surgery etc … I can’t tolerate alcohol the same , I feel like a light weight .

I just had like 1/2 a drink here and there when I wanted it. Once I used 8oz of beer for a recipe and poured the last 4oz into a glass for myself. Let me tell you how hard that 4oz hit me 🥴🤪 I had like zero tolerance anymore!! Lol!
I waited a month to make sure the chemo had cleared my system but generally don’t drink very much at all. Everyone makes different decisions. I have found more bars are offering non-alcoholic cocktails which I always up for when they’re available
