Occupational Therapist (Virtual)
Virtual · Flexible hours · $70 per 45-minute session
We're hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist with a functional movement and daily-living focus, $70 per 45-minute session. Bring your clinical eye; we bring the clients.
About OneVillage
Healthcare is broken. Not because people don't care, but because navigating it alone is nearly impossible. At OneVillage, we're fixing that.
OneVillage is a whole-health employee benefits platform that connects employees with expert navigators, clinicians and specialists across insurance navigation, medical navigation, mental health, nutrition, physical and occupational therapy, chronic condition care, financial wellness, and more. We're not a chatbot. We're not a directory. We're real humans, deeply trained and deeply empathetic, who show up for employees at the moments that matter most.
Think about what it means to have a brilliant friend who happens to know everything about healthcare, benefits, and wellness, someone who picks up the phone, figures it out with you, and doesn't let go until the problem is solved. That's OneVillage.
Our members feel it. The reviews and testimonials we receive daily are humbling: employees telling us we saved their marriage, their finances, their sanity, their lives. We've coordinated emergency medevacs. We've helped members navigate cancer diagnoses, mental health crises, and impossible insurance battles. We've been there for the moments that no one else shows up for.
And we're just getting started.
The role
The result for our clinicians: you get to spend your time actually treating. We bring the clients, handle the insurance and employer-benefits side, schedule the sessions, pay you reliably, and surround you with 25+ other hand-selected clinicians and specialists you can collaborate with and refer to. No cold outreach. No marketing grind. No insurance-credentialing nightmare. Just the work you trained to do.
Who we're looking for
- An OT who lights up when function and daily life intersect: mobility, home safety, ergonomics, energy conservation, cognition and the routines that let people keep working and living independently.
- Fluent with older adults and their caregivers, from aging-in-place assessments to dementia-related changes at home.
- Comfortable coaching over video: adapting demonstrations, assessing a home environment through the camera, and sending programs members can follow on their own.
- Someone who believes care works best in community. Many of our members also work with our eldercare, mental health and nutrition teams, and the referral loop makes outcomes compound.
What you'll do
- Deliver 1:1 virtual occupational therapy sessions (45 min) to OneVillage members
- Assess and support activities of daily living, home safety, fall prevention, ergonomic setup, and functional strength
- Support members recovering from surgery, injury, cancer treatment or a chronic condition in returning to work and daily routines
- Guide family caregivers on adaptive equipment, home modifications and routines for an aging parent
- Design between-session home programs and coach adherence
- Collaborate with our physical therapists, eldercare navigators and mental health clinicians on whole-person plans
- Document clinical notes in our secure portal
What you bring
- Active occupational therapist license in good standing (OTR/L); licensed in any state is fine, as long as you are willing to get licensed in DC, Maryland and Virginia (we support the process)
- An individual NPI so your sessions can be billed to members' health plans (we handle the credentialing paperwork with you)
- 3+ years of OT experience with meaningful focus on function, movement or home-based care
- Experience with older adults, fall prevention or chronic-condition management
- Comfort with virtual-first care via HIPAA-compliant video, reliable internet, and a quiet, private, professional home-office setup
Nice to have
- Licensure in more than one state (a big plus, since our members are nationwide)
- OT Compact privileges or prior telehealth OT experience
- Advanced certifications (CAPS home modification, LSVT BIG, CHT, cognitive rehabilitation training)
- Experience supporting cancer survivors with cognitive or fatigue-related changes
- Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, or another second language
- Prior work inside an insurance-covered or employer-benefits care model
What we offer
- Clients come to you. Members find us through insurance, employer benefits, and our partner organizations. You never have to do lead-gen.
- We handle the plumbing. Credentialing, scheduling, HIPAA-compliant video, session notes, billing, and insurance eligibility checks are all handled by OneVillage.
- Flexible and virtual. Set your own availability. Add as many or as few client slots as you want. Work from anywhere with reliable internet.
- Real colleagues, not a platform. You'll be part of a tight-knit team of about 25 clinicians and specialists who meet, refer clients across specialties, and genuinely care about each other's practices.
- Mission-aligned pay. Session-based compensation with transparent rates. No volume quotas. No pressure to upsell anything.
Compensation: $70 per 45-minute session
