The role

The result for our clinicians: you get to spend your time actually doing therapy. We bring the clients, handle the insurance and employer-benefits side, schedule the sessions, pay you reliably, and surround you with 25+ other hand-selected clinicians and specialists you can collaborate with and refer to. No cold outreach. No marketing grind. No insurance-credentialing nightmare. Just the work you trained to do.

Who we're looking for

  • A clinically strong generalist who sees adults across the full range of modern life: anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, burnout, life transitions, identity, stress.
  • Someone who believes care works best in community. Many of our members are also working with other OneVillage clinicians and specialists (nutrition, financial, eldercare, medical navigation) and the cross-referral loop makes outcomes compound.
  • Grounded, steady, and warm. Not everyone our members bring will have the perfect diagnosis tied up with a bow, and we want a therapist who is comfortable in the messy middle.

What you'll do

  • Deliver 1:1 virtual psychotherapy sessions (45 min) to OneVillage members
  • Support adults through anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, life transitions, burnout, caregiver stress, and general mental wellness
  • Collaborate across specialties: financial specialists on money-related stress, eldercare navigators on caregiver strain, medical navigators on the stress of a diagnosis
  • Recognize when a member needs a higher level of care, psychiatry or crisis support, and route them to it
  • Document session notes in our secure portal using HIPAA-compliant tools
  • Participate (optionally) in monthly consult groups with the OneVillage clinical team

What you bring

  • Active independent license in good standing: LCSW, LPC/LCPC, LMFT, Psychologist (PhD/PsyD), or equivalent; licensed in any state is fine, as long as you are willing to get licensed in DC, Maryland and Virginia (we support the process)
  • An individual NPI so your sessions can be billed to members' health plans (we handle the credentialing paperwork with you)
  • 3+ years of post-licensure clinical experience
  • A generalist clinical foundation in at least two evidence-based modalities (CBT, ACT, DBT, psychodynamic, systemic)
  • Comfort with virtual-first care via HIPAA-compliant video, reliable internet, and a quiet, private, professional home-office setup

Nice to have

  • Licensure in more than one state (a big plus, since our members are nationwide)
  • Experience with perinatal mental health, grief, cancer adjustment, caregiving stress, or financial-related anxiety
  • EMDR, IFS, or other specialty training
  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, or another second language
  • Prior work inside an insurance-covered or employer-benefits care model
