To protect the hands and feet during chemotherapy, frozen gloves and socks are designed to reduce the amount of drug flowing through their vessels, limiting the injury to local peripheral nerves. Many patients pre-freeze these socks and take them with them to chemo sessions to reduce their chances of neuropathy, or loss of sensation in the hands and feet.

About

Cold therapy has been proven to help reduce foot pain when used regularly. With Relief Genius high-quality cold-therapy socks, your feet can stay cooler longer and get immediate relief.

These cold therapy socks can help you get relief from: inflammation & swelling, foot sprains, arthritic, ball-of-foot pain, heel pain, plantar fasciitis and chemotherapy induced neuropathy.

The Cold Therapy socks are best designed to be used in sitting or laying down positions. It is not advised to walk on these because the ice packs can burst!

My dad used these after his own treatment, just have to be careful not to use them too much or too often cause he had problems with that too. Guess everything is in moderation.

There are a few kinds of the cold socks out there, but a friend of mine in one of my support groups recommended these.

These cold socks are the BEST ones on the market, and such a reasonable price on Amazon. Particularly if you're going through one of the more aggressive chemotherpaies that is known to cause neuropathy you're doing yourself a favor to invest in a pair of these!
